This specification is intended to describe the construction of a twin screw tug completely outfitted and equipped for towing, pushing, offshore supply and other related duties. It will be classed to BV or ABS+HULL, +MACH, TUG Unrestricted Navigation.
101. General Description
The vessel is to be all welded steel construction with twin diesel engines, twin fixed pitch propellers inside fixed nozzles. The vessel’s accommodation is to be located in the main and under the main deck. The main hull is to be divided by four (4) transverse WT Bulkheads into:
1) Forepeak FW/SW ballast tank;
2) Underdeck accommodation with F.O. and F.O. double bottom tanks under.
3) Engine room, L. O. storage tank, double bottom with dirty oil, dispersant oil and F.O tanks.
4) Fuel oil and day tanks at P&S and engine spare store .
5) Steering gear compartment and aft (F.W.) tanks.
The main deck accommodation is to consist of:
1) One (1) single cabin for captain
2) One (1) single cabin for chief engineer.
3) One (1) mess room / galley P & S.
4) Two (2) washplace/WC compartment (shared commonly)
5) Store room
The underdeck accommodation is to consist of:
1) One cabin with 2 beds at P
2) One cabin with 2 beds at s
3) One cabin with 4 beds
