We have locomotive and boiler shops located in Europe as well as North America.One of our principal shops was first established in the year 1914. From that date
we have been dealing with steam locomotives and are now one of the last full scale
commercial steam locomotive workshops remaining in the entire world.
The highly skilled workforce is comprised of 130 draftsmen, boilermakers, fitters,
other craftsmen and specialists ready for every challenge from the manufacturing
of entire steam locomotive to the smallest components: such as riveted or welded
boilers or fireboxes, cylinders, rods, axles, wheels, springs, frames, cabins,
tanks, railcars, passenger carriages, tanks and bunkers and much more.Steam power
was long considered obsolete and old-fashion, due to high staff and maintenance
costs, long preparation times, low thermal efficiency and environmental pollution.
In 1984, our innovative team of locomotive works realized that the disadvantages
attributed to steam traction was a matter of old age, not of the thermodynamic
system. Modern Steam Power eliminates the disadvantages without sacrificing
the attractiveness. When compared to Diesel or Electric trains, it is evident
that Steam draws many more customers and achieves higher revenue.
