Airbag launching technologywas developed on the base of traditional slideway ship launching. In airbag ship launching, Slideway and sliding plate are placed with airbags, overcoming many shortcomings of traditional slideway launching. Since flexible airbags, like flexible cushion, can provide large contact area, the pressure under the hull bottom is moderated. So the hull structure and surface paint are protected against damage. Our airbags is mainly used for ship launching and ship landing.
Structure of MLG-T Pneumatic Airbag
The airbag’s structure mainly includes rubber body, metal heads and a pressure gauge. The rubber layer is made of natural rubber mixed with synthetic tyre cords and some other special ingredients. The spiral woven body is made as a whole part, which enhances the strength to a better degree.
Applications
Our airbags are mainly used for ship launching. Besides that, our airbags are also used for ship landing, jack-up heavy ship segments combination, salvage, sunken vessel raising and other engineering works on water.
Calculation in choosing airbags
According to GB/T3795-1996 Marine ship launching and upgrading airbag and GB/T3837-1998 Technological requirements for ship upgrading or launching relying on air-bags, bursting test are conducted. The guaranteed safety working pressure reference data got from the bursting test is in the reference data chart.
Q=P*S...... (1)
When the airbag is compressed, the height and pressure would change. The weight of the load can be calculated by the above formula, where Q represents the weight of the load, P pressure, S the flat contacting area.
S=B*L…… (2)
The S can be calculated by the above formula, where B represents the width of the contacting area L the length of the contacting area.
B=1/2*π*(D-H)……(3)
The width B can be calculated by the above formula.
Note:
With the increase of the length and diameter, the air charged shall also increase. The friction and smashing from the air molecules increases the force on the inner wall of the airbag. So when the airbag used are longer, the working pressure shall be lowered.
