The "Silhouette" by BENTLEY YACHTS is one of the most beautiful designs to come out for the New Millenium. With 44 meters, this sleek vessel is capable of cruising in high speed and comfort, thanks to its computerized state-of-the-art motion control system.
The standard performance propulsion package uses gas turbines for light weight and reliability, while BENTLEY MARINE lightweight Aluminum Diesel engines are also available as a budgetary option.
Like all other BENTLEY YACHTS, the 145'BENTLEY YACHTS Silhouette is completely custom.
The advanced Air Cavity hull has a wide 28ft beam and provides for a silk smooth ride on a thin cushion of air that increases speed and cuts fuel consumption in over 35%. The proposed interior configuration is for 5 staterooms and accommodations for up to 8 crew. The interior layout is very flexible, the master stateroom can be either a full beam master forward or, aft in the upper deck, for full privacy and panoramic ocean views. Another interesting approach is to have the formal dining room in the upper deck with panoramic views. BENTLEY YACHTS has a team of world-class interior designers capable to suit anyone's taste and needs. The Silhouette also features a Jacuzzi and a large full beam garage with port and starboard access doors that also turn into a swim platform. The garage can be conveniently accessed from the lower deck and can easily accommodate an automobile in addition to the tender. If required, a helipad can be optionally installed.
What makes the Silhouette so spacious is the use of BENTLEY MARINE's compact lightweight propulsion system that requires a much smaller engine room, leaving more livable space onboard. Twin BENTLEY MARINE gas turbines quickly catapult this yacht to cruise speeds over 40Knots. This state of the art equipment requires much less maintenance than Diesel engines and is also more reliable. Custom tailored Ventilated Water Jets are used for maximum efficiency.
Fine maneuvering is accomplished through 360?steerable bow and stern thrusters which are computer controlled and can be used for low speed cruising for maximum fuel efficiency.
BENTLEY YACHTS are also the first to come equipped with lightweight, vibration free mini turbine generators and an aerospace developed motion control system with a T-foil and interceptor blades that control not only roll, but also pitch and heave, bringing yacht comfort to a new level.
The control, monitoring and alarm system are also part of an integrated network that uses touch-screens. Authorized personnel with a PIN code can access all ship functions and data from any point in the ship, including the staterooms. This BENTLEY marine system avoids incompatibility of commonly used multi-brand equipment and saves miles of cabling, since it is all networked. BENTLEY Marine electrical systems are also networked into the control system and incorporate the latest technologies to automatically regulate shore power voltage and frequency to the yacht or start and stop generators in accordance to load without any power interruption. This feature is very important when cruising overseas and gives total protection to the yacht electrical system
